I just want to share my experience with Second Chance because I know there are other families out there who feel like they have tried everything.

My son has been incarcerated for 23 years and was serving life without parole. When Second Chance started working on his case, I really didn’t know what to expect. It wasn’t something that happened overnight. It took about a year, and there were times when we were waiting and wondering what was going to happen.

But these ladies kept working. When the court responded, they responded back. They were aggressive when they needed to be and they did not just give up or back down when things got difficult.

After 23 years, my son is finally OFF his life without parole sentence. He now has only 2 years left to serve.

I still can’t believe I can say that.

Our family went from thinking my son might never come home to knowing that, God willing, we will have him home in 2 years. I will always be thankful for the work these ladies put into his case.

If you have a loved one incarcerated and you’re wondering if there is anything else that can be done, give Second Chance a chance to look at the case. Every case is different, but I’m so thankful that we didn’t give up on my son.

I normally don’t write reviews but I had to write this one because today our whole family’s life changed.

Our son was supposed to be in prison until 2032. We honestly thought we had years left before we would ever see him walk out those doors.

Yesterday we got word that the court GRANTED his release. We are picking our son up October 11, 2026!!!

I have cried, screamed, thanked God and cried some more. I don’t even think it has completely hit me yet that in less than a month I am going to be able to hug my son and BRING HIM HOME.

We had heard so many times how hard it was to get someone’s sentence reduced and we were scared to even get our hopes up again.

But they actually took the time to look at our son’s case and didn’t just brush us off. They helped us when we felt like we were running out of options.

I don’t care how many times somebody has told you “nothing can be done.” PLEASE don’t give up on your loved one. Have someone else look at their case.

That is SIX YEARS of his life and six years with our family that we thought we weren’t going to have.

There are truly no words for what that means to a mother.

OUR SON IS COMING HOME!!! 🙏😭❤️

This is a followup from a post I made 8 months ago. We had to appeal and finally got resentencing. This group has done more for us that anyone! They know their stuff and know what to do and do it good! Expectations exceeded at every turn! 5 stars!

As parents, we worried and feared for our son’s safety daily, when we were referred to Michelle and her team, we asked tons of questions. They made the process easy for us as older parents, trusting in her and her team, they did exactly what they were supposed to do our son got back in court and he got a reduction in his sentence. We am so grateful for this team of ladies that worked so hard for our son. He received a reduction to time served and he is now home. They saved him 8 years of his life and have given us time to spend with him while we are still here. Parents if you need help this is the company to use! Thank you, you did an amazing job and have gave us our son back!

I just want to give my honest review for Michelle and her team! I had a lot of questions and she answered them all, very patient with this concerned mother. We did the motion and my son got into court in 3 weeks. He got a hearing and was resentenced to a lesser time and he has an out date now for November 2026, his original date was 2037.

My husband had a LWOP sentence, thanks to this group of dedicated ladies we go resentenced to 25 to life, he has already completed that time and came up for immediate parole! He is HOME! We never thought we would see the day! Don’t give up! Keep fighting. Thank you!!!!

I cannot thank Michelle and her entire team enough for what they accomplished for my husband and our family. After 12+ years my son came home on 5/5/26, he had a 50 year sentence.
Tasha told me the state would not retry him and they declined to retry after he was granted a new trial. I can’t say thank you enough!!!

I’m so happy to announce that my husband has officially been re-sentenced. I wanna say a big thank you to Tasha for all her hard work and dedication. After almost a year in the court this day finally has come to an end. My husband got re-sentenced to 22 years with time served so he’ll be out soon.just in a matter of months We were going to court out of Tulare County if you’re thinking of filing a petition for your loved one please do it’ll be so worth it.
